As the Director of Global Vertical Strategy, Nicolas oversees a team of executives dedicated to the development and implementation of Facebook’s long-term strategy for the Auto, Consumer Goods, Education, Entertainment, Financial Services, Gaming, Retail/eCommerce, Tech/Telco and Travel verticals. Prior to this role, Nicolas oversaw Retail/eCommerce and Performance Strategy at Facebook where he was responsible for developing category-level marketing strategies that benefit both pure-play and multi-channel retail businesses of all sizes around the world. He also sits on the Board of Directors of Shop.org, a division of the National Retail Federation, the world’s largest retail trade association.
Prior to joining Facebook, Nicolas spent more than 7 years at eBay where he led the Marketplaces Strategy team, and later served as a General Manager for eBay Motors and eBay Fashion.
Nicolas started his career in Paris as a consultant for Arthur Andersen, and later worked for the boutique consulting firm Mars & Co. in San Francisco, where he helped Fortune 100 companies with strategic planning. In 2013, Vanity Fair ranked Nicolas the world’s 19th most influential French person in their France December issue.
Nicolas is based in Facebook’s Menlo Park headquarters. He holds a BS from ESCP Europe and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
